I have been breeding alpacas since 1994 and during this time have
obviously seen a lot of progress and changes in the industry of this
beautifully soft luxurious fibre. It has been a long learning curve
having started with four female alpacas and it has taken me twelve
years to increase my herd to 31.
All my alpacas are my pets, they have individual names and not just
numbers. They graze in chemical free fields with wonderful views of
the Mendip Hills. My herd reflects the variety of natural colours
available from alpaca fleece. The yarn is beautifully soft against
the skin and is stronger and warmer than cashmere.
