Amanda Jones Design's knitwear is made from two types of yarn. The first is from
Yeo Valley Organic's flock of pedigree Cotswold sheep, which have been farmed to
Soil Association organic standards.
The second is from Judy Clarke's alpaca herd, which also graze on fields where no
fertilizers or pesticides are used that destroy the environment.
All of our yarns are washed without the use of chemicals or bleaches. We use natural
soap flakes, to remove the lanolin and dirt, before carding and spinning. The dyes
used are also natural, a few examples include; Walnut Skins - For Brown, Onion Skins - For
Yellow, Indigo - For Blue.
